The musical Wicked is based off the book, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. It opened on Broadway on October 30, 2003 at the Gershwin Theatre, and is currently the 11th longest running Broadway musical. It has played over 4,722 shows, and runs about two and a half hours long. It now has several other productions including United States tours, West End tours, United Kingdom & Ireland tours, and other various international productions. It has won multiple awards as well.
